The Materials and Design: Why Quartz and R7s
Inside, you’ve got a halogen-filled quartz envelope. Quartz is great because it handles sudden temperature shifts without cracking, and it sends infrared energy cleanly. That means your target gets direct, efficient heating without a lot of wasted convection. The halogen cycle also keeps the filament stable, so you don’t see the output fade over time.
